About:

Ross spent a decade navigating the frying pan as a pro chef, before jumping into the fires of social media, exponentially growing multiple brands. He is now our Executive Editor.

We asked Ross Chandley a series of questions—here’s what he shared:

🍽  What person living or dead would you invite to your dream dinner party?

I’m not sure a dead person would be much company to be honest. So on that note I’ve narrowed it down to a few choices, but I’ve landed on manager of Liverpool Football Club, Jurgen Klopp. I love who he is and what he stands for. I also think he would be a laugh after a few beers.

Him or Margot Robbie.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿  Where is the best destination you’ve been to and why?

Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.

Won’t be high up on most people’s list, and I imagine a lot of people won’t have been or even heard of it. It’s not the hottest place in the world, in fact, there’s a running joke in my family that it constantly rains sideways there. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Deeply rooted in family connections it has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and not to mention famous Black Pudding!

🦸🏻‍♂️  If you could have a superpower, what would it be… and what would your superhero name be?

Manners Man. That would be my superhero name. Along the same lines of Superman, but instead of rescuing people from life threatening situations, I’d hear the cries of people not using basic manners and slap them in the face. All the people that don’t say thank you when you open a door for them, people in cars who you let through and don’t take a second to raise a hand or even a single finger to acknowledge you exist…

“Manners cost nothing” says Manners Man!

🌎 If you had one wish to improve the world, what would you change?

Do we not all have the same wish? To rid the world of crime? Anything from petty theft to war. Stop it all. We all get one go in life and it feels like greed, narcissism and money have overridden everything else. I’d rather not be constantly questioning people’s morals, thought processes or outlook on life. We all end up in the same box. Let people be who they want to be without judgment and enjoy your own life. There’s no time for hatred.

⚽️  If you had chosen another path in life, what might you be doing now?

Well, if I’d had the choice of another path I’d have been a moderately successful soccer player. Not a superstar as such, but someone admired for keeping their head down.

Unfortunately I chose a life of biscuits, fast food and other snacks. Maybe I wouldn’t have handled the fame, maybe people wouldn’t have handled me. We will never know.
